Michelle Vergara Moore is an Asian Australian actress, now based in New York City. She made her first US screen appearance in the crime-thriller feature film, Side Effects, directed by Steven Soderbergh. A recurring guest star role on Season 1 of La Brea (NBC Universal) followed, before she was upped to a Series Regular for La Brea Season 2.

Other American credits include a recurring guest role opposite Bob Balaban in Season 2 of the spy thriller, Condor (MGM+), and a guest appearance in High Maintenance (HBO).

Australian credits include starring in the indie film, Black & White & Sex, which had its international premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival.  She was one of the first actors of Asian ethnicity to play a lead series regular role in an Australian TV show, in two seasons of The Time of Our Lives (ABC Australia), which was nominated for a Logie Award for Most Outstanding Drama Series.

In 2021, Michelle starred in The Unusual Suspects (Hulu/SBS Australia) co-starring opposite Toby Leonard Moore (Billions, Daredevil, Mank) and Miranda Otto (Sabrina, Lord of the Rings).

 

She performed at Arena Stage, Washington D.C. in the world premiere production of Exclusion, directed by acclaimed Broadway director, Trip Cullman.

A dual Australian/American Citizen, Michelle Vergara Moore completed her actor training at Australia's prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and has also studied Impro at Upright Citizens Brigade.

Michelle is a proud advocate for neurodiversity awareness and is affiliated with the amazing non-profit, KultureCity. A dual US/Australian Citizen, she calls New York City home and also has a base in Melbourne, Australia.
